Saint Alvin Institute of Health and Allied Sciences, is a private owned Health institute situated in Morogoro town, District Morogoro CBD, ward Kihonda Maghorofani, Postal code 67128 in Morogoro region Barabara mpya street at Plot No121 Block C.

Saint Alvin Institute of Health and Allied Sciences is committed in providing quality and affordable health education to all races via strong and positive position to make a significant contribution economically, socially and Cultural wellbeing of Tanzania. Due to significant investment in our estate and infrastructures, we expect our students and graduates to be highly sought after by employers as we will be sector-leading for knowledge exchange and innovation.

We are also developing our partnership with local and international medical schools therefore we expect to take great pride and pleasure in many and varied achievement of our students through their studies and their extracurricular activities and beyond the College especially via public and altruistic activity.

In March 2019, Mr. RCHARD RAYMOND ROBERT, Board of Directors and staff met to create the Strategic Plan as a road map in paving a way for the Institute’s future we sought to renew the purpose of the institute and clarify our roles as educators, researchers and community development partners.

AIM: Create an inclusive and supportive environment for learning.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. Enhance learning experiences to promote academic success:
    • Create opportunities for students to engage in high impact practices
    • Participate in campus-wide effort to promote learning.
  2. Factors to strengthen student’s accountability for their education:
    • Provide opportunities for self- evaluation and reflection on learning by introducing E-portfolios.
    • Include students in educational programs development and evaluation
  3. Recruit and retain a diverse body of suitable qualified students under the following measures:
    • Publicize and aggressively market our programs, Country wise and in various segments of the Community.
    • Offer programs that promote the success of high risk students.
    • Expand and enhance SAIHAS initiatives for targeted populations.
    • Promote a welcoming and conducive academic environment.
    • Foster success of high-achieving students.
    • Increase the number of funded scholarships and fellowships to support students.

  • Increase in the number of graduates employed or admitted for further studies.
  • Improved retention of SAIHAS Students.
  • Increase in the number of students achieving or completing studies within 5 years.
  • Increase in the number of graduates from underrepresented groups.
